Position Overview
We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our Encino, CA team as a hybrid Content Creator and Social Media Manager. Passionate about storytelling, content and social media? This role lets you make a real impact. As our Social Content and Media Manager, you'll collaborate with our team and creators, crafting original content across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram and managing our accounts. Your creative energy will shine as you film, edit, and curate captivating content, all while maintaining our social posting calendar. With a dual focus on content creation and social media management, you'll drive engagement and foster community connection with our audience. As a key player in our Creator Council program, you'll mentor participants, empowering the next generation of storytellers. Responsibilities
● Creating original video content across all social platforms
● Managing TalkIsrael’s social media accounts including TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, and YouTube.
● Setting up, scheduling posts and maintaining content calendars based on best practices for frequency and posting times.
● Posting diverse content (visual, video, text) multiple times a day, optimized for each platform.
● Developing and producing content aligned with TalkIsrael’s brand values and guidelines.
● Engaging with our audience by managing comments and direct messages.
● Researching and engaging relevant pages and creators to initiate partnerships and collaborations.
● Growing and maintaining followers through actionable plans.
● Staying updated on social media trends and suggesting content sources.
● Analyzing social content performance and providing analytics reports to the team on a weekly basis.
● Providing regular updates and reports to leadership.
Additional Responsibilities related to the Creator Council program:
● Attending program meetings, providing timely trends, and engaging with participants.
● Running social media training workshops and mentoring the participants on various aspects of social media.
● Providing participants with assignments for content creation and guiding them in the production process.
● Ensuring assignment completion, collecting content from participants, posting on TalkIsrael’s platforms.
● Identifying creative content creation opportunities with partners and collaborators.
● Supporting the Program Coordinator with any other relevant aspects of the program.
Qualifications
● 3+ years of prior experience as a Social Media Manager, or similar role, including in an internship capacity.
● Previous social media experience in a pro-Israel/Jewish organization is an advantage.
● Bachelor’s degree in communications business, marketing, journalism, public relations digital media, or related field.
● Strong oral and written communication skills.
● Proficiency in multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite and HubSpot.
● Proven experience in social media strategy and execution across all social media platforms.
● Must be passionate about Israel and hold a good grasp of current events, particularly those related to the State of Israel, antisemitism, the U.S.- Israel alliance, Jewry in the diaspora and Israel, culture, arts, and politics, etc.
● Strong team player.
● Experience with social and digital ads, especially Meta Business Manager is a plus.
Location: This is an office-based position in Encino, CA. Remote/hybrid work is not available.
Compensation: $22-$32 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
